Ingredients
  

Fudge Base
  • 1.666 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.666 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Add-Ins
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips or use all semi-sweet
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • 8-inch square pan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Parchment paper or foil

Method
 

  1. Line an 8-inch square pan with foil or parchment, leaving overhang. Lightly grease.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Boil for exactly 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth.
  5. Stir in vanilla and nuts (if using).
  6. Fold in marshmallows until fully melted and mixture is glossy.
  7. Pour into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Cool at room temperature or refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares.

Notes

Boil exactly 5 minutes for perfect texture. Store in airtight container.
