Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh espresso cooled
  • 0.5 oz peppermint schnapps
  • 0.25 oz simple syrup optional

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer
  • Martini glass

Method
 

  1. Brew espresso and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, peppermint schnapps, and simple syrup if using.
  4. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled and frothy.
  5. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish as desired.

Notes

Adjust peppermint to taste; garnish with crushed candy cane or chocolate shavings.
