Method
- Rinse cranberries and discard any soft ones.
- Combine cranberries, pineapple, sugar, water, and orange juice in a saucepan.
- Add orange zest, cinnamon stick, and salt.
- Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat once thickened and cranberries have burst.
- Discard cinnamon stick and cool before serving.
Notes
Sauce thickens as it cools. Adjust sweetness to taste.
