Ingredients
  

Sandwich
  • 4 slices sandwich bread thick slices
  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • 0.5 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 12 slices pepperoni
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • fresh basil leaves optional garnish
  • red pepper flakes optional

Equipment

  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place two slices butter-side down and spread pizza sauce on the inside.
  3. Add shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
  4. Top with pepperoni slices and sprinkle Parmesan, oregano, and garlic powder.
  5. Add a small extra layer of mozzarella and top with remaining bread slices butter-side up.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and place sandwiches in the pan.
  7. Cook 3–4 minutes until golden brown, then flip carefully.
  8. Cook another 3–4 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is crispy.
  9. Rest 1 minute, slice, garnish with basil, and serve.
