Pineapple Basil Smash
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 8-10 leaves fresh basil
  • 0.5 lime juiced
  • 1-2 tbsp simple syrup to taste
  • 2 oz vodka or rum optional

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Muddler
  • Strainer
  • Rocks glass

Method
 

  1. Muddle pineapple and basil until fragrant and juicy.
  2. Add lime juice, sweetener, and optional spirit.
  3. Shake with ice until well chilled.
  4. Strain over fresh ice and garnish.
