Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1 lb cooked shredded chicken rotisserie chicken works great
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tbsp homemade
Tacos & Toppings
  • 8 tortillas small flour or corn
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup diced onions
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • as needed lime wedges
  • optional salsa or sour cream

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add shredded chicken and taco seasoning. Stir and cook for 5–7 minutes until heated through.
  2. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
  3. Assemble tacos: layer chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avocado, and cilantro on each tortilla.
  4. Add optional toppings such as lime juice, salsa, or sour cream.
  5. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Perfect for quick weeknight meals. Rotisserie chicken saves prep time.
