- In a bowl combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, diced onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into 4–5 oval patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet and brown patties on both sides for about 3–4 minutes per side.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- In the same skillet melt butter and cook sliced onions and mushrooms until softened.
- Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly add beef broth while stirring to create gravy.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and pepper.
- Return patties to skillet and simmer covered for 10–12 minutes until cooked through.

Serve over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice for a classic comfort meal.
