Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Sesame Sauce
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch slurry cornstarch mixed with water
Bowls
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 0.5 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions sliced
Garnish
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds toasted

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Large skillet

Method
 

  1. Coat chicken pieces with cornstarch.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet and cook chicken until golden and cooked through.
  3. In the same pan combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  4. Add cornstarch slurry and simmer until sauce thickens.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and toss in the sauce.
  6. Divide rice among bowls and top with chicken, vegetables, and sesame seeds.

Notes

Add chili flakes or sriracha if you prefer a spicy sesame chicken bowl.
