- Season roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Sear roast in olive oil until browned on all sides.
- Place onions and garlic in slow cooker and top with roast.
- Add onion soup mix, broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook on low for 8–9 hours until fork-tender.
- Remove beef and shred with forks.
- Make cornstarch slurry and stir into slow cooker juices.
- Cook until gravy thickens.
- Toast bread and prepare mashed potatoes.
- Assemble with toast, beef, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Serve hot.
Notes
For extra rich flavor, use homemade mashed potatoes and allow the beef to rest briefly before shredding.
