Method
- Grease the slow cooker with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Pour marinara sauce over the chicken and add minced garlic.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until chicken is tender.
- Remove chicken, shred with two forks, and return it to the sauce.
- Cook pasta separately according to package instructions and drain.
- Add cooked pasta to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan over the pasta mixture.
- Cover and cook for 10–15 minutes until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
Notes
For a creamy version, stir in ½ cup heavy cream before adding the cheese.
