Main
  • 500 g beef stew meat
  • 4 potatoes diced
  • 3 carrots sliced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Brown beef in skillet (optional).
  2. Add vegetables to slow cooker.
  3. Place beef on top.
  4. Mix broth and seasonings, then pour over.
  5. Cook on low 7-8 hours or high 4-5 hours.
  6. Thicken if desired and serve.

Notes

Browning beef enhances flavor but is optional.
