Method
- Mix tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and jalapeño in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Layer tuna salad and shredded cheddar on unbuttered sides of bread, then top with remaining slices, buttered side out.
- Cook sandwiches on a skillet over medium heat until bread is golden and cheese melts, about 3–4 minutes per side.
- Slice in half, garnish if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Adjust jalapeño quantity for desired heat. Use pepper jack for extra spicy flavor.
