Method
- Combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, sugar, egg, salt, and flour. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
- Prepare strawberry filling: cook strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon over medium heat 3–4 minutes. Cool.
- Roll dough into 12x16 inch rectangle. Spread strawberry filling evenly.
- Roll dough tightly, cut into 12 rolls, and place in greased 9x13 inch pan.
- Let rolls rise 30–40 minutes until puffy.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
- Prepare cream cheese glaze: beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries and optional powdered sugar. Serve immediately.
