Sugared Prosecco Grapes

Ingredients
  

Grapes
  • 2 pounds seedless grapes mix of green and red
  • 750 ml Prosecco
  • 0.25 cup vodka optional
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar or sanding sugar for crunch

  • Large bowl
  • Colander
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry the grapes thoroughly. Remove stems.
  2. Place grapes in a large bowl and cover with Prosecco (add vodka if using). Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  3. Drain grapes well but do not rinse. Keep slightly damp.
  4. Spread sugar on a baking sheet or in a bowl.
  5. Toss drained grapes in sugar until evenly coated, working in batches.
  6. Transfer to a parchment-lined sheet and chill 1-2 hours or freeze 2 hours.
  7. Serve chilled or frozen.

Notes

For best flavor, soak overnight. Freeze for a refreshing frozen treat. Store in fridge up to 3 days or freezer up to 1 month. Enjoy responsibly as contains alcohol.
