Ingredients
  

Meatballs
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 pound ground pork
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 small onion finely grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
Pasta & Sauce
  • 12 ounces egg noodles or fettuccine
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup grated parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Soak breadcrumbs in milk, then mix with ground beef, pork, onion, garlic, egg, and seasonings.
  2. Form into meatballs and brown in a skillet until fully cooked.
  3. Cook pasta according to package instructions and drain.
  4. Make a roux with butter and flour, then whisk in beef broth.
  5. Add Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, cream, and parmesan until smooth.
  6. Return meatballs to skillet and simmer.
  7. Add cooked pasta and toss gently to coat in sauce.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Fresh parmesan and a quick splash of pasta water help keep the sauce silky and smooth.
