Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour loaf pan.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl.
- Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing until combined.
- Fold in chopped pecans and pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
- Optional: Prepare glaze by melting butter, sugar, and milk in a saucepan. Drizzle over warm bread.
