Ingredients
  

Sandwich
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter divided
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp thyme fresh or dried
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices rustic bread

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add mushrooms and cook until moisture evaporates and mushrooms brown.
  3. Add garlic and thyme, season with salt and pepper.
  4. Butter bread and assemble sandwiches with Swiss cheese and mushrooms.
  5. Cook sandwiches until golden and cheese is melted.

Notes

Use low heat for best cheese melt without burning bread.
