Ingredients
  

  • 3 sweet onions sliced ½-inch thick
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1.5 cups Monterey Jack cheese shredded
  • 4 tbsp butter

Method
 

  1. Layer sliced onions in a baking dish and season.
  2. Top with cheese and butter.
  3. Bake covered, then uncovered until bubbly and golden.

Notes

Vidalia onions provide the best sweetness.
