- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, Parmesan, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Slice the bread loaf in half lengthwise or into thick slices without cutting all the way through.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top if using for cheesy garlic bread.
- Place on baking sheet. Wrap in foil for softer bread or leave open for crispier results.
- Bake 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Broil 1-2 minutes for extra color if desired.
- Cool slightly, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
For best results use fresh garlic and room-temperature butter. Can be prepared up to 3 days ahead and refrigerated before baking.
