Ingredients
  

Cream Layer
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Coffee Layer
  • 0.5 cup strong brewed espresso cooled
  • 3 tbsp coffee liqueur
Assembly
  • 8-10 ladyfinger cookies crushed
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 cup dark chocolate shavings optional

Method
 

  1. Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  2. Fold mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until smooth.
  3. Mix espresso with coffee liqueur in a small bowl.
  4. Add crushed ladyfingers to the bottom of each shot glass.
  5. Drizzle with espresso mixture.
  6. Add mascarpone cream layer.
  7. Repeat layers once more.
  8. Chill for 1–2 hours and dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, omit the coffee liqueur and add more espresso.
