- Let pizza dough rest at room temperature for 20–30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone inside if using.
- Mix olive oil and minced garlic in a small bowl.
- Stretch dough into a 10–12 inch circle and transfer to a floured peel or parchment.
- Brush dough with garlic olive oil and add mozzarella evenly across the top.
- Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and lemon zest.
- Bake 10–12 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from oven and top with fresh basil and optional chili flakes.
Notes
Add ricotta or Parmesan for extra richness.
