Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2-3 ripe bananas yellow with brown spots
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter or coconut oil
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup/brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt optional

Equipment

  • Large non-stick skillet
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Slice bananas into ½-inch even rounds.
  2. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Stir in cinnamon until fragrant.
  3. Add honey and stir to create glossy sauce.
  4. Add banana slices in single layer. Cook 3-4 minutes until golden underneath.
  5. Flip carefully and cook another 2-4 minutes until caramelized.
  6. Remove from heat, rest 1 minute, serve warm with extra cinnamon if desired.

Notes

Best served immediately while caramel is gooey. Use ripe but firm bananas for ideal texture. Reheat gently if needed.
